Enterprise Times: What this means for businesses

Shipping is one of the unsung heroes of eCommerce. It is complex, requiring the coordination of multiple players and moving parts. They include confirmation payments, carriers, fulfilment and warehouse systems, and online tracking, to name a few. It covers the entire process of getting products from the virtual shopping cart to the customer’s doorstep. This is no small feat. Getting shipping right impacts two key business areas: customer experience and cost control.

Every day, tens of thousands of eCommerce businesses rely on carriers to solve the day-to-day challenges of importing orders and processing shipments. The marketplace is heaving with competing operators, platforms and solutions. So, ShipStation’s latest enhancements to its platform, streamlining Shipping Processes, is a step in the right direction. Any innovation that makes life easier for merchandisers and drives efficiencies for eCommerce businesses must be welcomed.
