CAST AI has announced the launch of AI Optimizer at Google Cloud Next ’24. Wasabi has launched Wasabi AiR, a new intelligent storage platform for the sports media and entertainment industries.

Randstad will deploy both Workday Financial Management and Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) across the 39 markets it operates within. It will offer joint services with Workday. Makip has signed up its first UK customer, an independent fashion brand, Batch LDN, for Unisize. BICS has launched a “Roaming SMS Translator”. It will allow international travellers to use 2G and 3G to send and receive international messages when their provider only supports 4G or 5G. It will mean that mobile phone users can send and receive messages from the older protocols to their phones no matter the destination.

Burendo

Burendo has been awarded ISO 14001 for its environmental management system. It continues its mission to go beyond certification. Burendo also announced three initiatives it is undertaking:

  • It actively analyses processes to reduce unnecessary waste, including replacing single-use plastic with biodegradable or reusable alternatives.
  • Burendo works with partners who share its commitment to environmental responsibility, minimising its environmental footprint throughout the supply chain.
  • Burendo is increasing investment in certified Carbon Offsetting programs, aligned with company expansion and operational needs.

Clari announced that for the first time, over $4 trillion in revenue is flowing through the Clair Revenue Platform. It has become the first revenue platform to achieve this milestone.

Inforlogic

Inforlogic revealed that Norbev, a leading drinks manufacturer in Northern Ireland, has selected Infor CloudSuite Industrial. The multi-tenant AWS hosted cloudbased ERP solution will replace Sage 1000, With the aim of delivering digital transformation at the company.

Infosys and Intel announced an expansion to their strategic collaboration to assist global enterprises in accelerating their AI journeys. Infor Topaz will adopt Intel-based solutions. Including Intel Xeon processors, Intel Gaudi accelerators, Intel Core Ultra Processors, software, and future generation products. These will enable customers to integrate Gen AI into their businesses and adhere to the emerging guardrails of AI.

The Infosys Foundation has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Criminal Investigation Department (C.I.D) of Karnataka and the Data Security Council of India (DSCI). To renew the collaboration for the Centre for Cyber Crime Investigation Training & Research (CCITR) at C.I.D Headquarters, Bengaluru.

The Infosys Foundation has committed a grant of over INR 33 crore (US$40,000). To strengthen the cybercrime investigation capabilities of the Karnataka police by extending its association with CCITR for four more years.

Panasonic Connect

AT NAB, Panasonic Connect introduced the new mainframe KAIROS Core 200 AT-KC200L1. And the latest software update (version 1.7), including smart routing functionality. The AT-KC200L1, which supports SDI I/O as standard, and the new smart routing functionality[1], provide improved video quality and productivity when using KAIROS for broadcasting, events, sports and in the corporate and education markets.

It also announced the May 2024 release of exciting enhancements to its AV-HSW10 compact live switcher. Enhancements that improve the efficiency and quality of video production for webinars and other live events. The new AV-HSW10 will combine the stability of Panasonic’s broadcast and professional hardware switchers with the scalability of a software solution. Updates include firmware version 2.00 for streamlined setup. And the free AV-SF10 software control panel for efficient one-person operation and remote operation.
