CashflowsLaptop Payment eCommerce - Image by StockSnap from Pixabay has announced a major update to its Developer Portal. The Developer Portal is a secure online portal that gives merchants and partners access to all of Cashflows’ products and services. It also provides a wealth of information that will guide customers through the different processes that enable them to streamline their onboarding for Cashflows and make it simpler for businesses to accept payments.

The portal includes Cashflows fast onboarding for partners. Which enables merchants to set up a Cashflow account and start taking payments quickly. There are plugin integrations for BigCommerce, Magento 2, OpenCart and WooCommerce. These enable merchants to set up their checkout for Cashflows to process customer payments simply and quickly.

There is a wide range of guides contained within the portal. Where merchants and partners can search and find the information they need to onboard faster. The guide’s content includes integration guides and detailed advice on how to connect with Cashflows Gateway. And add embedded frames to a website through API references and training videos. The portal includes a lot of well-placed hyperlinks that allow the reader to traverse the site and get explanations for the terms and features mentioned.

Cashflows Chief Growth Officer Paul Clarke adds, “In today’s fast-paced and ever-changing payments landscape, merchants need easy, admin-free access to the tools and technologies required to keep pace with competitors – and evolving customer preferences. The new Cashflows Developer Portal provides that access, enabling merchants and partners to make updates anytime and from anywhere. We’re committed to making the onboarding process as easy as taking a payment. This is why we give our customers the freedom and information to enact impactful change and are always on hand to support where needed.”

Cashflows answers the payment provider challenge

Many merchants struggle with their existing payment providers for various reasons. Research by Cashflows showed that onboarding is a key challenge for merchants. Of the 55% of merchants switching payment providers recently, 40% experienced frustrations during the process.

Cashflows believes that the recent updates reduce email traffic synonymous with onboarding processes by 20% for a merchant. While this seems low, any reduction is welcome. The portal provides an easily available source of information that customers find useful.

Ryan Hull, Director of Get Found N.I, commented, “As a developer, I’m always looking for the most efficient way to integrate products and services with our providers. Being able to accept payments is fundamental to our business success, so this is particularly important for our payments provider. Cashflows’ Developer Portal provides a multitude of in-depth information linked together and presented in a format that makes it quick and easy to find what you’re looking for. It’s the perfect tool to easily access all the technical documentation I need.”

Enterprise Times: What does this mean?

While the Developer platform is provided in addition to the AI-powered Fast Onboarding solution, it seems remiss that Cashflows did not include a generative AI co-pilot to support the portal. Giving the user the ability to ask a question about the information stored within the portal would be a useful improvement. Perhaps Cashflows will include that capability in the next release.
